Requirements
Must:
- Skilled, qualified and experienced in a comparable technical position with IT or OT applications, or other technical disciplines
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of common applications and infrastructure environments (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server, VMWare Virtualisation)
- Understanding of industrial control systems (ICS) equipment and its connectivity to OT applications
- Strong communicator with experience in documenting requirements and processes
- Strong problem-solver focused on root-cause analysis
- Experience working in an environment with safe working practices (ideally operational/production)
- Understanding of lean manufacturing (not a prerequisite)
- Knowledge of cyber security best practices and controls, and their application to improve security posture
Responsibilities
- Maintain, monitor, configure, implement, and support OT applications used in manufacturing sites across the UK
- Support diagnostics and troubleshooting of applications for continuous system functionality and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for OT systems
- Ensure compliance with cyber security, audit, and regulatory standards
- Implement cyber security measures and best practices to safeguard OT infrastructure and data integrity
- Develop comprehensive documentation, user guides, and SOPs for OT applications and processes
- Provide training, guidance, and support to end-users
- Develop and execute testing strategies, conduct regular tests, and performance evaluations
- Liaise with external vendors, suppliers, and technology partners for system upgrades and enhancements
- Perform data analysis, generate reports, and provide insights for decision-making processes
