Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience with VMWare 6/7/8 environments
- Knowledge of Cisco UCS and NSX environments
- Proficiency in platform monitoring solutions
- Experience with Fibre Channel Fabrics, including Brocade switching
- Expertise in disaster recovery planning and execution
- Familiarity with data centre management
- Proficient in Windows and RHEL operating systems
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code; automating using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, Perl, or Python
- Knowledge of Grafana and Agile working practices
- Experience in a cross-functional DevOps environment
Additional Expertise (desirable):
- Commercial experience in DR/BCP design and testing procedures
- Familiarity with the Nutanix virtualization platform
- Security design and architecture expertise
- Commvault platform knowledge
- Certifications: VMware VCP 6.5 or higher, Nutanix NCP, NetApp NCDA, AWS Solutions Architect / AWS SysOPS Administrator
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance the existing virtual storage and compute platform
- Improve platform engineering for vMotion setup
- Enhance the current Commvault backup system
- Plan the adoption of NVMe technology
- Contribute to the platform roadmap and propose improvements
- Design and deploy new technology solutions, such as VMWare NSX, vRealize automation orchestration, Nutanix, and SAN migrations
- Monitor the efficiency of storage and archiving procedures
- Support disaster recovery efforts and conduct general platform troubleshooting
- Manage data protection strategies
