Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a DevOps Engineer with the following essential skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Secondary experience with Microsoft Azure
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline development with GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Monitoring and logging expertise with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack
- Knowledge of secure DevOps practices aligned with UK Government and MoD standards
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Responsibilities
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable cloud solutions
- Developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes
- Managing and orchestrating containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Writing scripts to automate repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency
- Monitoring system performance and proactively addressing issues
- Ensuring compliance with security and regulatory requirements in all DevOps practices
Description
This position is hybrid, requiring on-site presence in Corsham or Salisbury one day every fortnight. The role starts in January 2026, with an initial contract duration of six months at a rate of £550 per day (inside IR35). Active SC clearance is required.
