Requirements
Must:
- Experience with system engineering lifecycles, tailoring, and planning
- Experience working with commercial managers and civil contractors for system installation and deployment
- Ability to chair design reviews
- Skills in requirements elicitation and management
- Proficiency in risk and opportunity management
- Knowledge of configuration management and baseline development through lifecycle
- Understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and military as well as civil communications systems
- Appreciation of hardware, firmware, and software including SDR with high speed ADCs and RF sub-systems
- Familiarity with a production environment, design, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and test fixtures
- Knowledge of product qualification and safety, relevant legislation, and sign-off processes
- Understanding of environmental regulations and legislation, product sign-off
- Familiarity with EMC regulations and control techniques, and collaboration with specialists
Responsibilities
- Tailor and plan system engineering lifecycles to meet project requirements
- Collaborate with commercial managers and civil contractors for effective system installation and deployment
- Chair design reviews and ensure all stakeholders are aligned
- Elicit and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage risks and opportunities proactively
- Develop and maintain configuration management and baseline documentation
- Understand and apply knowledge of Electronic Warfare (EW) and communications systems
- Work with hardware, firmware, and software in various production environments
- Ensure product qualification and adherence to safety legislation
- Oversee compliance with environmental regulations and ensure product sign-off
- Collaborate with specialists to ensure EMC regulations are met and sign-offs are secured
