Requirements
Must:
- 7 years VMware engineering experience in enterprise or government settings
- Strong automation background with PowerCLI, VMware Aria, and IaC patterns
- Solid understanding of NSX, vSAN, DRS, snapshots, backups, and monitoring
- Experience in secure, air-gapped, or zero-trust environments
- VMware certifications (VCP/VCAP) preferred
Responsibilities
- Build and optimise automated VM provisioning and lifecycle workflows using PowerCLI, VMware Aria, APIs, and IaC tooling
- Improve automation for VM creation, configuration, retirement, scaling, monitoring, and policy enforcement
- Recommend tooling and automation approaches (PowerCLI, Aria Automation, Terraform, Ansible)
- Manage and enhance operations across vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and integrated VMware platforms
- Support NSX, vSAN, DRS, backup tooling, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Maintain documentation aligned with government security and audit standards
- Contribute to resilience and disaster-recovery planning
