Requirements
Must:
- Red Hat Certified Engineer or equivalent hands-on experience
- Broad Linux administration across multiple distributions
- Experience with Linux within integrated Windows / Active Directory environments
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible
- Proficient in scripting with Bash, Python, and ideally one other language
- Knowledge of clustered environments and orchestration tools
- Experience with parallel file systems (such as Lustre)
- Understanding of HPC tools (such as Bright)
- Networking knowledge with Mellanox InfiniBand or Ethernet
- Experience with storage platforms: DDN, NetApp, IBM, Dell EMC
- Familiarity with batch scheduling systems such as PBS Pro, Slurm, SGE/UGE, Microsoft Scheduler
Responsibilities
- Provide Linux support across several contracts and environments
- Share expertise within the team and help shape processes and best practices
- Handle escalations and contribute to smooth operational delivery
- Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams
- Occasionally support solution design or pre-sales activities
Description
We are Sanderson, and we are looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to join our growing team in Stevenage. This permanent, hands-on position will allow you to support secure, high-performance Linux environments across various long-term projects, with occasional travel across Greater London and the Southeast. Our team invests in continuous development, providing exposure to a wide range of technologies and environments. Youll work closely with customers and fellow experts, solving technical challenges and enhancing your skills in HPC, automation, and modern Linux tooling.
