Requirements
Must:
- A recognized expert in solution design, design standards, processes, industry best practices, and trends.
- A systems-level design thinker and visionary with strong instincts and outstanding intuition.
- A deep understanding of designing elegantly simple user experiences from complex workflows.
- Expert knowledge of design thinking, industry-standard design tools, and the business aspects of products.
- Proven ability in leading major design projects and setting strategic design direction.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in influencing stakeholders and leadership to drive improvement.

- Design and deliver innovative products and services that delight users by transforming complex business scenarios into effective solutions.
- Manage a split of responsibilities: 30% hands-on design, 20% process and strategy, 20% leading design projects, and 30% managing people.
- Deliver high-quality design projects covering product areas, whole products, or undefined spaces.
- Provide creative leadership, owning design direction and high-level decision-making.
- Coach junior team members and peers in craft and ways of working.
- Plan resourcing and task assignments while ensuring quality, completeness, competitiveness, and timeliness of design.
- Ensure customer and user satisfaction as well as commercial goals are met.
Description
We are looking for a Solution Design Lead to take on a critical role using empathic methods to enhance user experiences. This position involves being immersed in user context and producing extraordinary emotional experiences that users love. I seek someone who not only excels in design craft but also fosters high-performing, cohesive, and satisfied teams while handling challenges with grace and calmness. Your proactive and goal-oriented approach will be essential as you engage in exciting challenges and drive design creativity and innovation. This is a 6-month contract position with a day rate ranging from £400 to £600 (inside IR35), starting ASAP.
