Requirements
Must:
We require proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer, MLOps Engineer, or in a similar role. You should have a strong background in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles. Advanced proficiency in Python for data wrangling, pipeline automation, and machine learning workflows is essential. You should also possess expertise in AWS services, including databases such as RDS, DynamoDB, and Redshift, as well as machine learning and AI services including SageMaker and AI/ML frameworks. Hands-on experience with machine learning pipeline orchestration, CI/CD, and deployment automation is required. A deep understanding of ML Ops practices, particularly regarding monitoring, scaling, and retraining strategies, is also necessary. Familiarity with AIOps concepts and tools for operational automation is preferred.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will architect, build, and maintain production-grade ML Ops pipelines to automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of machine learning models. You will collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to reduce the time-to-production for experiments and prototypes. Your responsibilities will also include designing and optimizing data wrangling and transformation workflows using Python. You will leverage AWS cloud services (such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SageMaker, and RDS) to develop robust, scalable, and cost-effective solutions. Additionally, you will apply AIOps practices to enhance the monitoring, automation, and resilience of ML systems. Implementing best practices in data engineering, version control, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code will also fall under your purview. You will ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of data pipelines and deployed ML solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to setting technical standards for the team.
Description
We are looking for a passionate individual who can bridge the gap between data science experimentation and scalable production systems, driving automation and enabling faster innovation cycles. The day rate for this position ranges from £300 to £500 (Inside IR35), and the role is set for a duration of 6 months, with an immediate start date. You can work in a hybrid capacity or fully remote from Newcastle. Rates depend on your experience and client requirements.
