Requirements
Must:
- Strong Moodle development experience
- Experience building plugins, integrations, or custom functionality
- Experience working with APIs and system integrations
- Strong coding standards and ability to work independently
- Good communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in higher education or learning technology environments is beneficial but not essential
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Moodle functionality including plugin development and integrations
- Work across systems such as Moodle, lecture capture platforms, and learning tools
- Build and maintain integrations between university systems using APIs
- Investigate technical issues and implement fixes across the platform estate
- Work closely with internal teams, architects, analysts, and vendors
- Support improvements to data flows between systems such as student records, timetabling, and learning platforms
- Contribute to documentation, development standards, and best practices
- Provide technical expertise across projects and operational work
- Ensure secure, stable, and scalable services across the learning systems landscape
Description
We are a small specialist team responsible for the universitys virtual learning environment and associated learning technologies. We focus on hands-on development, integrations, and improving core platforms used for teaching, learning, and assessment. This is a 6-month full-time contract opportunity located in a university environment. Our work supports the advancement of educational technology and enhances the learning experience for students.
