- Expert-level administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), including networking, security, storage, and performance tuning.
- Deep knowledge of core OpenStack services such as Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Glance, and Swift.
- Experience with Ansible for configuration management and orchestration, along with scripting skills in Python or Go.
- Expertise in KVM (the hypervisor used by OpenStack) and related concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Red Hat Ceph Storage for OpenStack integration.
- Advanced networking skills, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VXLANs, and routing, alongside OpenStack Neutron configuration.
- Familiarity with Red Hat and Windows integration, including Active Directory.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and planning of highly available, scalable OpenStack cloud solutions.
- Install and configure core OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, etc.), often using Red Hat OpenStack Director.
- Automate cloud provisioning, configuration, and orchestration using tools like Ansible, Python, or Bash scripting.
- Integrate OpenStack with other critical services, particularly Red Hat Ceph Storage for persistent storage and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting, patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and performance tuning of the OpenStack environment.
- Enable container platforms like Red Hat OpenShift to run on top of the OpenStack virtual machines.

Description
This role focuses on designing, deploying, and troubleshooting a secure-grade private environment using Red Hats supported distribution of the OpenStack open-source cloud operating system: Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP). It will be deployed between two sites with a resilient design. As the RHOSP engineer, you will support an existing engineering team with the higher-level components of the overall design by contributing to meetings, discussions, and high-level design initiatives.
