Requirements
Must:
As a Senior Data Scientist at Saga, you should have the following skills and experience:
- Previously worked in a data science role for a large, data-rich organization, with a successful track record of independent project delivery.
- Experience in the marketing domain or a strong desire and enthusiasm to transition into this area.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and SQL (a technical task will be part of the interview process).
- Credible expertise in machine learning, statistical modeling, and data analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms, ideally Azure.
- A curious nature with a drive to learn and master new technologies and methods.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Experience working in an agile environment, focusing on iterative and collaborative project delivery.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau.
- Experience in model monitoring (MLOps experience would be a plus).
- A master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or related disciplines.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Senior Data Scientist, you will be fully accountable for the following areas:
- Advanced Analytics & Modeling: Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning algorithms and statistical models to solve complex business problems. Drive exploration and adoption of cutting-edge data science techniques and technologies.
- Insights and Reporting: Extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets to guide business decision-making.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with business stakeholders and technical colleagues to understand data science requirements and integrate solutions into existing workflows and applications, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical counterparts throughout every project.
- Data Strategy and Model Governance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute the company's data strategy, ensuring models are fair, explainable, and compliant with relevant regulations and policies.
- Project Management: Manage and deliver projects on time and to high standards, demonstrating experience in an agile environment and adapting to changing priorities.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning and bring the most relevant ones back to Saga to unlock business value.

You will be joining a high-performing in-house Data Science team focused on marketing domain models.
