Must:
We are looking for candidates who have a full UK driving licence and previous experience in an IT support environment. You should possess good general IT skills and knowledge, along with proficiency in operating systems such as MS Windows and Server. Additionally, experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware issues is essential. Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory and M365, as well as a solid understanding of network principles and troubleshooting, are also important. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication and customer service skills. We expect you to be smart and presentable at all times, and having relevant IT certifications, along with knowledge in setting up and maintaining virtualised environments, would be beneficial.
Responsibilities
As an Information Technology Support Engineer at SVP Systems Ltd, I will involve you in a variety of tasks including providing telephone and email support, diagnosing and resolving hardware or software faults, and upgrading, repairing, and setting up new hardware. You will monitor backup, antivirus, and patch management systems, and actively participate in receiving, troubleshooting, resolving, and escalating daily support incidents and requests received via our ticketing system. Your responsibilities will also include general Active Directory and M365 user creation and modifications, maintaining our server room and infrastructure, and ensuring that customer machines are fully patched while resolving any known vulnerabilities. You will support users by providing necessary training and advice on the use of computer equipment and liaise with third-party support partners to help resolve issues, while maintaining a high degree of customer service.

SVP Systems Ltd is a small, friendly business that has been trading for over 20 years, previously as a partnership. We are a growing company that supports individuals and businesses in the Gloucester, Bristol, and Weston-Super-Mare areas, offering both on-site and remote assistance. This full-time position offers flexibility in working hours, with shifts from either 09:00-17:00 or 08:00-16:00 based on requirements. The role will involve travelling to and working from customer premises as well as providing remote support from home.
