Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in Operational Acceptance Testing or similar roles (e.g., QA, DevOps, Systems Testing).
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and operational readiness.
- Familiarity with system monitoring tools, backup solutions, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) and automation tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
Please note that the successful applicant will need to be vetted and eligible for SC Clearance.
Responsibilities
As an OAT Tester, your key responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing, and executing OAT test plans and scripts based on our operational requirements.
- Validating system performance under expected load conditions.
- Ensuring that backup, recovery, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms are functioning correctly.
- Collaborating with infrastructure, application, and support teams to ensure readiness for production deployment.
- Identifying and documenting defects, risks, and operational gaps.
- Participating in release planning and providing go/no-go recommendations based on test results.
- Maintaining test environments to ensure they reflect production configurations.
- Supporting incident and problem management processes during testing phases.
Description
This position is an initial 6-month contract based in Glasgow, requiring attendance in the office for 2-3 days per week. We are seeking dedicated professionals who are ready to contribute to our Central Government client's success.
