Requirements
Must:
- Active Security clearance
- Strong background in Cyber Security Assurance within high-threat government environments
- Experience in producing GovAssure and Secure-By-Design assessments, including Risk Assessment Papers, Risk Treatment Plans, Risk Business Cases, and Security Management Plans
- Knowledge and experience with security architecture and SIEM tools, such as Splunk, Defender, Sentinel, ELK, and Tenable Threat Modelling System solutions
- Extensive understanding of cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and security controls
- Demonstrable knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework, ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, SABSA, and TOGAF
- Experience in risk and threat modelling within high-threat government environments
- Industry certifications such as CompTIA Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable
Responsibilities
- Consult on cybersecurity assurance for a central government client
- Produce GovAssure and Secure-By-Design assessments
- Develop Risk Assessment Papers, Risk Treatment Plans, and Security Management Plans
- Analyze and implement security architecture and SIEM solutions
- Assess cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and security controls
- Provide recommendations based on cybersecurity frameworks and standards
- Collaborate with team members to enhance security protocols and practices
Description
We are Summer-Browning Associates, currently supporting our central government client in seeking a Cyber Security Consultant for an initial 6 assignments, with the option to extend. This role can be based in London, Milton Keynes, or undertaken remotely, providing flexibility and a dynamic work environment. Our team is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of security assurance in a high-threat government context, and we invite candidates who possess the requisite skills and experience to join us.
