Must:
We are looking for a candidate who has proven experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments and enterprise-scale systems. We expect you to have experience working on digital transformation or cloud migration projects, and familiarity with SCADA/OT integration is a strong plus. Additionally, you should be comfortable working in regulated or safety-critical environments.
Responsibilities
In this role as a DevOps / Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployment, and support containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial to ensure platform reliability and scalability. Furthermore, you will implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions, ensuring security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments. You will work alongside OT/SCADA teams to support integration between operational technology and cloud platforms, contributing to the secure and reliable deployment of infrastructure in regulated, safety-critical environments.
Description
This contract role is based in the UK, offering remote work with occasional site visits to London. The contract length is 12 months with a potential extension, and we are offering a competitive rate of £500–£600 per day (Outside IR35). You will be part of a major UK-based energy infrastructure organisation undergoing a large-scale digital transformation programme, focusing on modernising legacy systems, migrating to cloud-native platforms, and building scalable, secure infrastructure to support smart operations across the UK. We are eager to find a skilled DevOps / Platform Engineer to help facilitate this transformative journey, with a start date as soon as possible.
