We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a strong background in Cloud Engineering, DevSecOps, observability, and the management of production environments. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills and be adept at troubleshooting complex issues quickly. A solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Linux, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) is essential. Experience with containers (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm), CI/CD and GitOps (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD/Flux), programming skills (preferably in Python or Golang), and familiarity with database optimization and integration (such as PostgreSQL and Kafka) will be highly regarded. An understanding of security practices, including cloud access models and Zero Trust principles, is also necessary.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and supporting our production and demo environments. You will automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows, package and deploy applications to customer environments, and implement and optimize observability tooling using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki. Additionally, you will support incident response, monitoring, and backup/recovery planning. As a mentor, you will guide project teams in adopting DevSecOps best practices and ensure that our cloud environments are secure, high-performing, and cost-optimized.
Description
This is a 6-month contract position located in London, requiring in-office attendance twice a week (hybrid model), with opportunities for long-term extension as part of a major 3-year program. Clearance at the SC level may be required depending on deployment.
