Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with over 3 years of experience as a Platform Engineer in secure or regulated environments. You should possess strong knowledge of Kubernetes administration, containerization, and CI/CD tooling. Hands-on experience with Windows Server/Desktop and Red Hat Linux (RHEL) is essential. Proficiency with scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python is also required. You must have a good understanding of network fundamentals, including switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, and VNets. Experience with VMware, Citrix VDI, and virtualized environments is important, along with excellent troubleshooting skills and a pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset. Familiarity with security classifications and Secure by Design principles is a plus. Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) and experience working with defense programs or MOD environments are desirable.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will implement, maintain, and enhance infrastructure hosting for engineering and development environments. You will carry out both physical and virtual infrastructure builds, including network, storage, and compute components. Your responsibilities will also include configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Linux (RHEL) and Windows Server/Desktop environments. You will contribute to the design and integration of new solutions to meet evolving business needs and support CI/CD tooling and containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker. Additionally, you will ensure that environments adhere to governance, security, and accreditation requirements, while also maintaining design documentation and knowledge bases for transparency and collaboration.
Description
We are SR2, supporting a consultancy partner on a multi-year program. We are seeking several experienced Platform Engineers to join our Technical Services team. This long-term contract role requires active SC clearance and offers a market rate (Inside IR35). The location is hybrid, with an on-site presence required at a secure site, and we are looking for candidates who can start as soon as possible.
