Requirements
Must:
- I require at least 3 years of experience as a Network Engineer in secure or regulated environments.
- You should have strong knowledge of switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, VNets, BGP, and software-defined networking.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, NSX-T, and Fortigate technologies is essential.
- Proven troubleshooting skills and the ability to deliver pragmatic solutions in complex environments are necessary.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl) is a plus.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- You will design, implement, and optimize secure on-premises network infrastructure.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco switches/routers, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortigate firewalls, and NSX-T.
- Build and maintain both physical and virtualized network environments.
- Support high availability, scalability, and performance across the network estate.
- I expect you to prepare and deliver detailed technical design documentation and manage knowledge effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new solutions and meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure compliance with governance, change control, and security accreditation processes.
Description
This is a contract role within a long-term programme, offering a market rate that falls inside IR35. The position is hybrid, with secure site access required, and active SC clearance is mandatory. We are looking for you to start as soon as possible.
