Requirements
Must:
- Strong proficiency in VMware
- Experience with Cisco networking
- Knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls

Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level troubleshooting across IT & OT systems
- Act as a technical role model to uplift team capability
- Stabilise legacy infrastructure and implement improvement plans
- Work across VMware, Cisco, Palo Alto, and Barracuda technologies
- Support a variety of unique operational systems and devices
- Blend business-as-usual incident resolution with project-based modernization efforts
Description
We are seeking an IT 3rd Line Support Engineer to join our Defence client in Bedford on a 12-month contract, offering up to £550 per day (Inside IR35). This is not a typical role; we have a complex mix of IT and operational technology systems that require a hands-on engineer who excels in deep troubleshooting and system improvements. You will work in a dynamic team focused on stabilizing systems and providing senior-level guidance. Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance.
