Requirements
Must:
- Proven hands-on Moodle development experience
- Moodle plugin development (build or significant customisation)
- Strong PHP development skills
- REST API design and implementation experience
- JavaScript, CSS and front-end development capability
- Experience working with integrations across multiple systems
- Linux command line familiarity
- Higher Education experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining custom Moodle plugins
- Building and supporting deep Moodle integrations (REST APIs, LTI, data exchange)
- Enhancing performance through logging, caching and clean code practices
- Supporting Echo360 and related learning technologies
- Providing senior-level troubleshooting (2nd/3rd line support)
- Collaborating with internal developers and technical stakeholders
- Contributing to continuous improvement and technical best practice
Description
We are a leading UK Higher Education institution looking for a Senior Moodle Developer to join our Digital Learning team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. This hybrid role requires you to be on site one day a week in the West Midlands. Youll work on ongoing development, integration, and optimization of a large-scale Moodle environment, and we value experience in Moodle plugin development and integrations. We offer a competitive salary ranging from £47,000 to £56,000 per annum, and we are keen to find a candidate who can start immediately.
