Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years commercial Java experience ideally gained building enterprise-grade applications
- Strong framework experience (Spring, Hibernate, Spring Boot, etc.)
- Strong RDBMS experience - NoSQL, MongoDB, etc.
- Troubleshooting exposure - Splunk, ELK, etc.
- Git version control
- Automation experience - CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes would be a real plus
- Solid AWS cloud exposure
- TDD experience
- Microservices/serverless architecture understanding
Responsibilities
- Build complex, highly scalable greenfield solutions with international scope
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement enterprise-grade microservices architected applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Maintain version control and documentation using Git
- Integrate automation tools for deployment and continuous integration
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies related to Java and cloud services
Description
We are a market-leading FinTech company with hubs across the UK, seeking a Java Software Engineer on a contract basis. This role offers a competitive salary of £550 - £600 per day outside of IR35, on a rolling 3-month contract. We pride ourselves on providing a collaborative environment, where youll build innovative solutions and work with cutting-edge technologies. Due to the nature of the role, the ability to travel and be on-site one day a week is beneficial, and we prefer candidates who can start within 2 weeks.
