Requirements
Must:
We are seeking candidates with the following technical and IT security skills:
- Experience with Chronicle SIEM
- Knowledge of Google SecOps
- Familiarity with UEBA tooling
- Proficiency in analyzing Windows Event Logs
- Experience with BindPlane
- Understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework
- A strong background in SOC operations
- Knowledge of SOAR playbooks
- Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Enable and validate UEBA alerting within Chronicle SIEM, based on log sources.
- Deliver a minimum viable UEBA capability with tested detection logic.
- Provide engineering support to accelerate onboarding of log sources necessary for UEBA enrichment and detection fidelity.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with Google Chronicle and SecOps APIs, specifically for updating and managing reference data.
- Conduct a current state assessment of detection engineering capabilities and log source coverage.
- Design and implement detection use cases aligned with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
- Enable SOAR integration by identifying high-fidelity detections and mapping them accordingly.
Description
We are assisting a client in the financial services sector, which operates in a regulated industry, in a program focused on enhancing and designing their security posture. This entails implementing security measures utilizing SIEM tools such as Google Chronicle and integrating UEBA (User and Entity Behavior Analytics) and SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response) solutions built on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Google SecOps/Security Operations experience is highly desirable for this position. Additional details: - This position falls outside IR35. - The contract is expected to last until the end of December, with the possibility of extension. - This is a hybrid role requiring attendance in the London office four times a month.
