We are seeking candidates with a strong background in 3rd line support and infrastructure support, particularly in Network/Server areas with some experience in IT security. A valid driving license with a minimum number of points is essential for this role.
Responsibilities
As a Field Service Infrastructure Engineer, I will be responsible for providing all onsite service and support for our customers. My key duties will include:
- Delivering IT support for technical issues related to Microsoft’s core business applications, as well as virtual environments operated on Citrix, Microsoft, and VMware.
- Providing support services for Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Exchange, SQL, and SharePoint.
- Implementing and supporting disaster recovery solutions.
- Offering technical services and support at the network level, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security measures.
- Implementing and supporting remote access solutions like VPN, Terminal Services, and Citrix.
- Documenting systems thoroughly, including reviews and recommendations.
- Communicating with customers about incident progress and notifying them of any impending changes or scheduled outages.
- Striving to improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction.
- Escalating service issues that cannot be resolved within the agreed service levels.
- Ensuring effective communication with customers throughout the service process.
- Managing network switching, including VLANs and trunks.
- Handling firewalls and routers, including port forwarding and routing.
Description
This role requires regular visits to client sites on a mostly office-based schedule, where I will engage directly with customers to understand and resolve their infrastructure-related issues. My focus will be on providing excellent service and support across a range of technology, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor-specific hardware and software, as well as Office 365 and SharePoint.
