Requirements
Must:
- I require you to have 3+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- You should have knowledge of Microsoft 365/Azure, Windows OS, networking, and security.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and monitoring tools, such as SolarWinds and NinjaOne, is important.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills are essential.
- Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft 365/Azure and ITIL Foundation, are desirable.
- You must have the right to work in the UK and be flexible to work shifts, on-call, during evenings or weekends as required.
- Employment will be subject to satisfactory vetting and references.
Responsibilities
- You will diagnose and resolve 2nd line technical issues across desktops, servers, and end-user devices.
- It will be your duty to monitor and maintain client IT systems, including tasks like patching, updates, and performance tuning.
- You will support incident, change, and problem management processes in alignment with ITIL practices.
- Collaboration with Tier 1 and Tier 3 engineers will be necessary, where you will share knowledge and best practices.
- Providing excellent customer service and building strong client relationships will be key elements of your role.
- Additionally, you will contribute to security, compliance, and service quality improvements.
Description
We are looking for a proactive Tier 2 Engineer to join our growing Managed IT team in a permanent, hybrid role based south of Bedford. You will be providing second line support to customers while ensuring the smooth operation of their IT services and infrastructure. This engaging position offers a salary of up to £34,000, based on a 4 days on, 4 days off day shift pattern.
