Requirements
Must:
We are looking for someone with the following technical skills and experience:
- Strong Windows Server and Active Directory (AD) experience
- Exposure to Hyper-V and VMware environments
- Knowledge of Veeam Backup and Replication
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
- Experience with Lucidlink or Egnyte (remote file storage)
- Familiarity with Intune and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
- Experience with endpoint security tools, such as Microsoft Defender, Sophos, and Bitdefender
- Ideally, you should have around 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Deliver advanced 2nd and 3rd line support
- Act as an escalation point for junior engineers
- Get involved in a range of client projects including upgrades, migrations, and virtualization work
- Provide 3rd-line troubleshooting across servers, networking, and virtualization
- Configure and manage Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policies
- Support Hyper-V and VMware environments
- Manage backups and disaster recovery using Veeam
- Support networking tasks, including DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and VPN
- Assist with cloud technologies, including Microsoft 365, Intune, Google Apps, and AWS S3
- Work on infrastructure and migration projects
- Maintain documentation and ensure excellent customer service is delivered.
Description
This position offers a great next step for 3rd-line engineers or strong 2nd-line engineers ready to step up in a dynamic MSP. We provide a 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday, WFH on Fridays plus additional remote days, and 22 days of holiday, increasing to 25 days.
