Requirements
Must:
- Working experience as a Database Engineer supporting PostgreSQL and/or MySQL in a production environment
- Public cloud experience using OpenStack, GCP, or AWS
- A DevOps/automation-first mindset, with experience using deployments with Ansible (or similar automation tools for config/admin)
- Practical experience using scripting languages or programming frameworks (Python, Bash, Java, etc)
- System administration and tuning of Linux-based servers
- Strong working knowledge and experience using code versioning tools like Git
Responsibilities
- Design and implement database solutions focusing on performance and reliability
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize database interactions
- Monitor database performance and perform tuning and maintenance
- Support cloud deployment and manage infrastructure
- Utilize automation tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency
- Maintain and document database standards and procedures
