Requirements

Must:
- 1-2 years of prior experience in a technical support role - Experience with Active Directory Administration - Proficiency in Office 365 and Azure support and management - Knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 operating systems - Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 applications - Basic understanding of virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware) - Basic routing and switching knowledge - Familiarity with backup vendor software such as Veeam and StorageCraft - Basic knowledge of telephony systems - Current MS-10X or MD-10X certifications are preferred, but not essential - Excellent communication skills - Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn - Good overall knowledge of IT systems and support - Professional and courteous demeanor - Comfortable with various aspects of customer service (face-to-face, phone, and email)

Responsibilities

- Act as the first point of contact for our clients by answering the technical support line - Provide remote and telephone support for client networks and applications - Handle support ticket requests related to all technology, including workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor-specific hardware and software - Update the help desk ticketing system promptly and accurately, logging all calls, notes, progress, and actions - Prioritize tickets based on their impact to ensure efficient progress - Work within contracted SLAs and liaise with third parties as needed, escalating issues within the helpdesk team when necessary - Build PCs and prepare laptops for delivery including pre-delivery setup - Repair PCs, laptops, and printers, and manage third-party arrangements for external repairs and documentation tracking - Control stock of components and cables - Perform pre-delivery preparation of servers and infrastructure equipment - Update the asset register for new customer equipment before delivery - Keep training and learning logs up to date - Manage deliveries and receipt of stock - Address software issues like installation and upgrades

We are dedicated to enhancing our team with a passionate 1st Line Technical Support Engineer who is eager to learn and grow within our business. In this role, I will provide remote support for IT infrastructure, cloud hosting, and telecom networks for over 150 clients ranging from SMBs to SMEs. You will have the opportunity to work between our workshop and helpdesk, and full training and support will be provided to help you succeed. If you are enthusiastic about IT and ready to contribute new ideas to our team, this position could be an excellent fit for you. We offer a full-time, permanent position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break, 20 days of holiday entitlement plus bank holidays, and benefits such as free onsite parking with EV charging points, air-conditioned modern offices with a kitchen, and opportunities for training.
