As a Product Developer, we expect you to bring both strategic thinking and hands-on expertise in qualification design. You should have experience working within an End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO), awarding body, or a similar educational setting. You will need a strong understanding of qualification and assessment development processes. Proven project management skills, ideally supported by APM-PMQ or PRINCE2 certification, are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and attention to detail are crucial. Additionally, we value the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, alongside a proactive and adaptable mindset with a commitment to quality and innovation.

In your role as a Product Developer, you will take the lead in the design, development, and improvement of qualifications and assessment products across our organisation’s portfolio. You will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and maintain qualifications that align with industry standards and regulatory frameworks. It will be your responsibility to ensure all products meet Ofqual General Conditions and other compliance requirements from the EPAO and awarding body, including those from the DfE and Skills England. You will develop detailed project plans, manage timelines and budgets, and ensure the delivery of high-quality outputs. Additionally, you will produce key qualification documentation such as assessment strategies, centre guides, and sample assessment materials. Using data to analyse qualification performance and drive continuous improvement will also be part of your role, as well as identifying opportunities to expand our provision and respond to emerging skills needs in the market.
