Requirements
Must:
As an ideal candidate, you will bring demonstrable knowledge of assessment methods, tools, and techniques. You should have experience in designing innovative and compliant assessments in education or training. Strong analytical skills are essential, as is the ability to evaluate learner performance and assessment data. You will also need excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, along with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team is crucial.
Responsibilities
In the role of Assessment Developer, I will expect you to collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to design robust, fit-for-purpose assessments. You will ensure that all assessments comply with Ofqual General Conditions and other regulatory frameworks such as DfE and Skills England. Your focus will be on developing inclusive and accessible assessments that minimize barriers to learner achievement. Additionally, you will use data to monitor the validity, reliability, and performance of assessments, driving continuous improvement. I would also like you to provide guidance and share best practices in assessment design across the organization. Staying up to date with advances in assessment theory, digital assessment, and sector requirements will be part of your responsibilities, along with supporting the adoption of new digital platforms for assessment delivery.
