Requirements
Must:
- Strong experience in a Windows Server environment
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Entra, networking, and VLANs
- Programming experience with Python and SQL
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with PowerShell, Power BI / DAX, and M365
- Experience producing Crystal Reports and working with ERP systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- A Computer Science, IT or related degree (or equivalent experience)
Responsibilities
- Managing and maintaining servers, networks, firewalls, and core IT infrastructure
- Monitoring system performance, security, backups, and storage
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Developing internal business solutions using Python, SQL, and web technologies
- Managing user accounts, permissions, and group policies
- Supporting and improving the IT service desk function
- Producing reports and working with ERP systems
- Maintaining documentation, IT policies, and security standards (ISO27001 / Cyber Essentials)
- Supporting new starters with system access and inductions
Description
We are a UK-based business with an established internal IT function, seeking a Systems Administrator / Developer to join our team in Hull. This hands-on role is varied, covering infrastructure, support, and development work in a professional office environment. We offer a competitive salary of up to £35,000, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, a 5% pension scheme, and a 37-hour work week, fully office based.
