Requirements

Must:
- Educated to degree level in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or have equivalent work experience. - Extensive experience developing and managing SharePoint solutions, including SharePoint Online or hybrid environments. - Strong proficiency in SharePoint development, particularly with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), Power Automate, Power Apps, and integration with Microsoft 365 services. - Experience in SharePoint governance, security, and user management, ensuring adherence to best practices for permissions, site structures, and data protection. - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps) to automate processes and enhance SharePoint functionality. - Knowledge of SharePoint migration strategies, including experience with migration tools. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail in written and verbal communication, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation, including technical specifications, governance policies, and status reports.

Responsibilities

In support of our mission at RBG Kew, I will be responsible for providing SharePoint development support for our SharePoint project throughout its phases of delivery. These will primarily involve setting up SharePoint to follow best practice architecture and moving/updating existing sites depending on the feasibility of converting them to modern sites. I will provide the necessary technical and development direction for the project by closely collaborating with the IT team, Records Management, and stakeholders who manage or require SharePoint sites. My role will be critical in establishing a clear process for managing SharePoint within our organization, ensuring efficient data management across SharePoint sites and fostering enhanced collaboration among our teams.
