Requirements
Must:
- Experience in software testing within a development team environment
- Strong experience in manual testing and exploratory testing
- Experience writing or maintaining automated tests
- Good understanding of software development and testing lifecycles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to understand complex technical systems and workflows
- Excellent written communication for clear bug reporting and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing
- Experience testing desktop applications (desirable)
- Exposure to C++ based systems (desirable)
- Experience with test automation frameworks, particularly Squish (desirable)
- Familiarity with GIT-based version control tools (desirable)
- Experience working with scientific, engineering, or modelling software (desirable)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution (desirable)
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Design and execute manual test plans and test cases for new features and product releases
- Perform functional, regression, and exploratory testing across multiple applications
- Develop and maintain automated tests to improve regression coverage and release confidence
- Contribute to the development of test frameworks and automation strategies over time
- Participate in sprint planning, design discussions, and release readiness reviews
- Work closely with developers to understand requirements and identify potential issues early
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing ahead of releases
- Develop and maintain test documentation and coverage for critical product workflows
- Help evolve QA processes, tools, and practices as the QA capability grows
