Requirements
Must:
- Knowledge of common vendor switching and wireless technologies
- Understanding of LAN cabling standards and installation best practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Professional, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Experience with Juniper or HPE Networking technologies (desirable)
- Understanding of network security principles (desirable)
- Experience with network cabling installation and site surveys (desirable)
- NPPV3 or SC Clearance (or eligible to obtain) (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Install and configure LAN switches, wireless access points, and other network equipment
- Carry out copper and fibre patching
- Troubleshoot and resolve wired network issues with support from the wider team
- Maintain network availability and document maintenance and testing procedures
- Update ITSM systems and network design documentation with clear and accurate notes
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues
- Identify and suggest improvements in installation and commissioning processes
- Work closely with the Managed Services team to support handover and continuous service improvement
- Maintain excellent customer care standards across all interactions

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our Managed Services team on a major Public Sector project in Central London. This is a fixed-term contract position lasting 12 months, and you will play a critical role in delivering high-performance network infrastructure while ensuring excellent customer care.
