Requirements
Must:
As a candidate for the Senior Data Engineer position, you will need extensive experience in designing and implementing data solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, or Fabric. You should be proficient in SQL and Python, with hands-on expertise in working with relational SQL databases, both on-premises and in the cloud. Additionally, you must have a proven ability to deliver multiple data solutions, leveraging key methodologies such as Governance, Architecture, Data Modeling, ETL/ELT, Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management, and Business Intelligence (BI). A strong understanding of engineering delivery processes, including Agile, DevOps, Git, APIs, Containers, Microservices, and Data Pipelines, is essential. Experience working with Spark, Kafka, or Snowflake is also required. We are looking for someone skilled in providing insightful data solutions that drive business value and is confident in engaging with senior stakeholders during meetings.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will bring a broad skillset in data engineering and demonstrate a strong track record of delivering solutions within Microsoft Azure. You will build strong working relationships with clients and collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders. Leveraging your experience in data engineering, you will develop high-performance, end-to-end solutions in a team-oriented environment. You will deliver high-quality work while proactively identifying and escalating challenges to clients or senior team members, proposing effective solutions. Furthermore, you will contribute to the growth of our Consulting practice by participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives and enhancing data services. As a mentor, you will provide guidance to junior team members, reviewing their work and ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals.
Description
This position offers a competitive salary range of £60,000-£70,000 and is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to client sites as requested. We are excited to partner with a leading consultancy that has some exciting projects on the horizon and is looking for someone technically strong with a commercial mindset to join our team.
