We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Google Cloud Engineer at the VP level. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working as a Cloud Engineer specifically in the Google Cloud Platform. You should possess a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their implementation on Google Cloud, including networking, storage, and security, as well as familiarity with SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS. Experience with enterprise patterns and best practices for regulated organizations, including Landing Zones and Enterprise foundations blueprint, is essential. Proven experience with DevSecOps practices and tools, such as Google Cloud DevOps, Cloud Build, GitHub Enterprise, and GitLab is a must. Proficiency in Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes is highly advantageous. A solid understanding of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is required. Additionally, experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python) and strong communication skills are essential. Familiarity with other Cloud Services, such as Microsoft Azure and AWS, is a plus. Candidates should have the right to work in Dublin.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing core infrastructure and resources on Google Cloud to support our business. Your tasks will include automating infrastructure provisioning and management through Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD DevSecOps tools. You will monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance. Collaborating with the Information Security team, you will assist in implementing and managing security best practices, including access control, data encryption, and threat detection. Additionally, you will work closely with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systems. Staying current with the latest Google Cloud technologies and industry best practices will be crucial, and you will also participate in evaluating and selecting new cloud-based technologies and services. Your contributions will help enhance our cloud operations and processes.
