Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience developing advanced visualisations in Power BI that solve complex business challenges in intuitive ways.
- Proven track record of optimising both report-level and model-level performance within Power BI environments using best practice techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and understand intricate data models sourced from multiple ERP systems.
- Hands-on experience managing complex ETL processes that support robust analytics solutions.
- Solid understanding of SQL Warehouses coupled with strong T-SQL programming skills for effective data manipulation.
- Collaborative spirit with excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies gained through active participation in agile development teams delivering high-quality results.
- Analytical mindset paired with problem-solving abilities that translate business requirements into actionable user stories and backlog items.
- Strong organisational skills enabling effective prioritisation of multiple initiatives and deliverables simultaneously.
Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining intuitive and impactful business intelligence visualisations using Power BI that address complex business needs across multiple markets.
- Optimising report and model performance by applying best practices in Power BI development, ensuring efficient data processing and user-friendly experiences.
- Collaborating closely with IT Managers, data owners, internal customers, and external system integrators to implement and maintain the organisations unified data fabric.
- Supporting, enhancing, and maintaining the analytical and reporting infrastructure to ensure reliable access to actionable insights for stakeholders throughout the group.
- Expanding the data warehouse model by incorporating additional analytical use cases that drive commercial value and operational improvements.
- Developing a deep understanding of the organisations data models and how they relate to diverse business processes across subsidiaries.
- Managing BI development projects directly with customers from initial analysis through to final build, ensuring requirements are met effectively.
- Contributing significantly to retiring legacy third-party reporting platforms by developing robust new solutions beyond your first year in post.
