Must:
- Proficiency in Linux
- Strong programming skills in Python
- Experience with Terminal/CLI
- Familiarity with building and working with the CARLA simulator
- Experience with building and integrating the Autoware autonomy stack
- Strong experience designing and operating cloud-native systems on AWS
- Proficient in AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code)
- Knowledge of TypeScript
- Familiarity with React (front end)
- Experience with AWS Batch
- Experience with AWS ECS
Responsibilities
- Integrate Autoware with the CARLA simulator on a local machine
- Enable destination setting, autonomous navigation, and obstacle avoidance using full Autoware navigation and AI stack
- Containerise the Autoware setup using Docker
- Integrate the setup with our existing AWS environment
- Deploy Autoware on a separate EC2 instance
- Ensure reliable communication between the EC2 instance running CARLA and the Autoware instance, replicating local-machine behaviour
