Requirements
Must:
- Substantial experience as a Data Engineer, especially with Snowflake in production environments
- Advanced experience with DBT, including testing, modular modeling, and optimization
- Proven track record in building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
- Strong familiarity with Snowflake infrastructure, performance tuning, and cost modeling
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor or teach other engineers
- Exposure to ML Ops (particularly around operationalizing models) is desirable
- Familiarity with data science environments and predictive analytic workflows is a plus
Responsibilities
- Own and assess the Snowflake platform, proposing and executing optimizations around performance, cost, scalability, and architecture improvements
- Lead DBT development and maintenance, emphasizing test frameworks, transformation efficiency, and eliminating redundant or resource-heavy flows
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate reliable deployment of data transformations
- Provide deep insight into Snowflake infrastructure, including cost and pricing models, performance tuning, and resource governance
- Support ML Ops and predictive analytics operationalization by managing updates, performance monitoring, and change rollout
- Act as a technical mentor and knowledge resource within the team, promoting best practices and embedding continuous improvement
- Communicate effectively with both technical engineers and non-technical stakeholders to drive alignment and adoption of data initiatives
