Requirements
Must:
We require a minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, disaster recovery coordination, or business continuity. A strong background in planning and service development is essential, along with a solid understanding of backup, replication, failover, and recovery technologies. You should have hands-on experience with disaster recovery/business continuity tools such as Zerto, Veeam, Commvault, Azure Site Recovery, and ServiceNow. Familiarity with frameworks like ITIL and ISO 22301 is also important. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are necessary for success in this role.
Responsibilities
In this position, I will lead the planning and development of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) testing services, ensuring structured and repeatable processes. Collaboration with operations teams will be crucial to align recovery strategies with business requirements. I will identify and address gaps impacting DR/BC readiness, documenting necessary improvements. Coordinating and managing DR and BC test schedules, dependencies, and stakeholder communications will be part of my daily tasks. I will maintain and improve DR/BC documentation, including runbooks, recovery plans, test frameworks, and impact analyses. Additionally, I will facilitate DR and BC drills and simulations, capturing lessons learned and implementing improvements. Supporting audits, compliance checks, and risk assessments related to DR and BC will also be my responsibility.

This role is an initial 12-month contract with hybrid working options available, based in Surrey, within a global healthcare manufacturer.
