We are looking for candidates who possess a current SIA Licence and can demonstrate exceptional written and verbal command of the English language. You should have high levels of attention to detail and experience supervising a team within a demanding corporate environment. Essential skills include experience in managing a team and building effective working relationships, a full manual UK driving licence, strong coordination and planning skills, excellent time management and organizational skills, and proficiency with the MS Office Suite. You should be confident, able to persuade and negotiate, and ideally have experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will rely on you to effectively manage and develop a team of nine full-time Security Officers. You will be the key point of contact for our customer, overseeing the security team's performance in all aspects of their role. Your responsibilities will include managing an effective roster to ensure the correct levels of cover are always in place, maintaining the highest standards of response and communication within the team, and completing monthly inspections for all team members. Additionally, you will be involved in recruitment as necessary when the team expands or when replacements are required. Knowledge of security systems will also be essential for advising on applications and working closely with contractors to ensure effective integration with the on-site security personnel.
Description
This role is a full-time, permanent position, typically requiring around 50 hours of work per week, predominantly from Monday to Friday between 07:00 and 17:00, with some flexibility required. As the Manager, you will need to support your team, which provides security cover 24/7, 365 days a year. Therefore, it is essential that you are flexible with your working hours and available to provide guidance outside of standard working times.
