Requirements
Must:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Previous technical support experience for control systems or similar
- Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g. ladder logic, structured text)
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and HMI design
- Knowledge of control system protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch technical support to clients by responding to inquiries, troubleshooting system issues, and resolving problems swiftly to minimise downtime.
- Attend client sites across the UK to carry out installations, commissioning, fault finding, and system recovery.
- Conduct routine inspections, system audits, and preventive maintenance to ensure the seamless operation and reliability of control systems.
- Utilise advanced troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve complex system faults effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement system modifications, upgrades, and enhancements, boosting performance and functionality.
- Maintain detailed records of system configurations, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Deliver on-site training and support to end-users and maintenance teams.
