Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- Experience with C++, Linux, and embedded systems
- Experience with tools used to bridge C++ and Python (ideally SWIG), Python GUI frameworks, and documentation
- Must be commutable to Didcot or willing to relocate
Responsibilities
- Develop a bespoke Python API for integrating advanced and bespoke hardware
- Refine and validate the Python API
- Write detailed documentation
- Design and implement Python-based GUIs to streamline hardware control
- Participate in hybrid working in Didcot
Description
We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a talented Python Developer with experience in Electronics and Embedded Systems to join our innovative company, which has been established for over 20 years. We focus on specialist electronic design, development, and production for various industries, including aerospace, defense, and academic institutions.
In this role, you will develop a bespoke Python API, validate it, and create detailed documentation. You will also design Python-based GUIs to enhance hardware control. We are looking for candidates passionate about working with cutting-edge technologies and eager to contribute to novel and challenging projects.
