Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Design, build, upgrade and support of Citrix environments
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting in high-availability environments
- Integration with Active Directory and secure access solutions
- Understanding of user experience optimisation in virtual desktop platforms
- Experience operating Citrix in secure or government environments (desirable)
- Citrix Certified Associate - Virtualization (CCA-V)
- Core administration of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
- Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V)
- Advanced configuration, optimization and complex troubleshooting
- Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V) (desirable for senior SMEs)
- Architecture-level knowledge
- Suitable for complex, high-availability environments
Responsibilities
- Ensure the stability, performance, and ongoing support of secure Citrix virtual applications and desktop environments
- Maintain reliable end-user access to critical services while ensuring platform resilience and security
- Provide expert troubleshooting and resolve technical issues
- Support platform improvements and implement best practices
- Contribute to operational documentation and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Work effectively within a controlled, service-managed environment
Description
We are a central Government client based in Milton Keynes, offering a hybrid working model (3 days in-office per week). We provide a competitive daily rate of £550 - £600 depending on experience for this 6-month initial contract. We are looking for an experienced Citrix Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure the integrity and security of our Citrix environments.
