Requirements
Must:
- Experience in support and design in highly secure environments.
- Proficient in Cisco Switching, Routing, Security, and wireless technologies.
- Knowledge of Network Protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, ICMP, OSPF, IPSEC.
- Experience with Cisco ASA Firewall Administration and design.
- Proficient in Cisco Firepower (NGFW).
- Experienced in Palo Alto Firewall administration.
- Familiarity with Virtual Environments and virtual network solutions (e.g., VMWare).
- Experience in Cisco ISE and PRIME.
- Knowledgeable in BIG IP F5 Administration/Configuration (LTM, ASM).
- Competent in Network Monitoring with PRTG.
- Familiar with Cisco ACI.
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, and manage enterprise LAN/WAN lifecycle.
- Manage firewall, IPS/IDS, and network security policies.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of network performance, connectivity, and security issues.
- Lead network modernization, migration, and automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with security frameworks and organizational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Description
We are a central Government client based in Milton Keynes, offering a hybrid work model (3 days per week in the office). We provide an initial 6-month contract with competitive daily rates between £500 to £550, depending on experience. Your role as a Network Engineer will focus on designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and resilience.
