Must:
We are looking for a data-savvy candidate who has experience working with SQL, R, Python, and Excel. You must have proven experience as a Senior Data Analyst, Scouting, or Performance Analytics within professional or elite-level football. Additionally, candidates should be familiar with at least one of the following data providers: Wyscout, Opta, Hudl, Skillcorner, StatsBomb, or similar. You should also be commutable to the Greater Manchester area.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will expect you to build reports on current players and analyze current and future transfer targets. You will map various leagues in the UK and Europe to identify the profiles of players that will excel in different systems. Your responsibilities will include defining KPIs and performance metrics for the databases you build using SQL. Furthermore, you will deliver data-backed insights during senior-level recruitment meetings, collaborating closely with the Managing Director, Owner, Manager, and recruitment team to select targets for recruitment.
