Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience architecting and delivering distributed systems at scale.
- Strong understanding of containers, orchestration platforms, and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with high-volume messaging platforms and event-driven design patterns.
- Proven experience designing solutions in public cloud environments, ideally Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL data stores, data modeling, and data integration patterns.
- Experience working in a continuous delivery, agile engineering environment.
- Translating business goals into technology solutions, identifying improvement opportunities and anticipating future need.
- Pragmatic approach, recognizing technology as a tool to deliver business outcomes.
- Ability to share architectural ideas clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Creating an environment where engineering teams feel empowered to make architectural decisions while minimizing technical risk.
- Encouraging diverse perspectives and fostering inclusive, collaborative decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Actively contribute to setting the long-term technology direction, defining architectural milestones, and fostering a culture of innovation, experimentation, and continuous improvement.
- Create and maintain practical, reusable artefacts including reference architectures, patterns, data models, and design guidance.
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to design application components that are well-structured, maintainable, resilient, and observable.
- Help shape best practices for data modeling, lineage, ownership, and governance.
- Guide, mentor, and coach engineering teams to make sound architectural decisions autonomously.
- Serve as a role model in solving complex design challenges and sharing knowledge to elevate overall architectural maturity.
