Requirements
Must:
We are looking for candidates with 8-9+ years of experience in writing Backend applications using Python and Django (Rest Framework) or related frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI. A good understanding of ORM (either Django or SQLAlchemy) is essential, along with familiarity with Python Unit Testing frameworks and TDD practices. Experience working with Cloud Infrastructure, ideally AWS, is required. Additionally, a solid understanding of Git and CI/CD practices is necessary.
Nice-to-haves include:
- Deeper understanding of SQL
- Knowledge of front-end technologies such as Vue or React
- Experience handling sensitive data (e.g. PII)
Responsibilities
As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be joining a talented team of 45 at our world-class healthcare scaleup. Your responsibilities will include working on new product features and contributing to architecture and implementation. You will also be tasked with refactoring existing code and services to support scalability and growth in complexity. Proactively responding to analytics will be key to ensuring our products are robust and meet users’ needs. Additionally, you will take technical ownership of specific areas of the product.
