We are looking for candidates who have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems and applications. A strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Azure AD, and Intune is essential. Additionally, candidates should possess a solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs. Experience using a helpdesk management system while working to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) is also necessary. We value a strong desire for personal and professional development, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. It’s important that you can demonstrate excellent customer service skills and effective verbal and written communication. You should have a proactive approach to work and the ability to communicate complex technical issues to individuals with varying levels of technical expertise. Additionally, we seek someone who is capable of working independently and who is willing to share their knowledge to foster team learning.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will provide a professional first line technical advisory and diagnostic support service within a Service Desk environment. Your duties will include setting up and supporting students and staff with their one-to-one devices and raising repair claims when necessary. You will be responsible for setting up new PCs, laptops, tablets, and iPads. Furthermore, I expect you to manage and resolve all reported technical issues professionally and efficiently, ensuring they are logged and resolved within the customer’s Service Level Agreement. You will be tasked with monitoring and managing call queues to ensure timely escalation and resolution of support calls, completing additional ad hoc project work, and assisting the Senior IT Technician with various duties as needed. You will also have the opportunity to recommend improvements to working practices and performance levels to enhance service quality and customer satisfaction.

I am delighted to be recruiting for this exciting opportunity within a large Multi Academy Trust in East Anglia, and I am looking for an IT Technician to join our Trust IT Team to help support our students, teaching, and administrative staff. You will be pivotal in maintaining effective service delivery standards while providing hardware and software support across various technical issues. In this role, you will also assist in software installation, updates, and support, maintain records of IT assets, incidents, and resolutions, manage printer maintenance and consumables, and monitor network performance. Additionally, you will escalate IT issues to the Senior IT Services Technician or IT Operations Manager promptly. Keeping the working area clean and tidy is also part of the expectations for this position.
