Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in system administration and DevSecOps environments
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and tools, particularly GitLab, Nexus, and Jenkins
- Familiarity with container orchestration using Kubernetes, such as Red Hat OpenShift
- Experience in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)

Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and maturation of the Software Factory and its supporting toolchain
- Manage user training, administration, onboarding, and ongoing operational support
- Ensure security, performance, and availability of Software Factory environments
- Oversee configuration, access control, and repository management across key tools
- Monitor systems and manage infrastructure to support software development and deployment
- Maintain integration with monitoring and logging tools for software pipeline visibility
- Administer and monitor containerised environments using Kubernetes
- Lead and manage innovation work packages to explore emerging technologies
- Contribute to the creation of a Software Factory roadmap promoting best practices
- Act as the primary point of contact for technical and access issues within the Software Factory
- Support development teams with environment setup and troubleshooting
- Maintain updated documentation for governance and audit purposes
- Ensure adherence to engineering, security, and accreditation standards
- Maintain governance documentation and access logs in line with programme standards
- Implement configuration management, patching, and vulnerability remediation processes
- Work collaboratively with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders

We are seeking a Software Factory Administrator to support the creation, maturation, and operation of our Defence Digital Software Factory, a secure and scalable platform designed for continuous integration, testing, and deployment of digital capabilities. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team focused on innovation and technical governance, ensuring our toolchain operates efficiently and securely in alignment with Defence standards.
