Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on and current active technical experience with AWS cloud services (ECR, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Apigee)
- Proficient in Java (Springboot), AngularJS, Node 10, and Typescript
- Experience with tooling such as Gitlab, Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Fortify on Demand, or similar, SonarQube or similar, Cypress/Selenium, BDD-Gherkin, Karate/Cucumber, and Jest
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience with strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organization
- Capability to establish and implement engineering best practices across multiple teams
- AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate or AWS Certified Developer - Associate
- Proficient in leveraging automation to improve development processes and optimize software delivery
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
- Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices for scalable, maintainable, and efficient systems
Responsibilities
- Act as a hands-on technical lead within an agile, multi-disciplinary team
- Undertake development alongside leading and guiding the development of the team
- Provide direction and oversight of technical delivery for digital products
- Actively work on Java and Angular codebase to implement new features and requirements
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to ensure project goals are met
- Establish and follow engineering principles and best practices
- Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to teams
- Assist with service support during office hours by locating and proactively fixing faults
- Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance team capabilities
- Encourage creative problem-solving and continuous learning within the team
